Mark B. Ward
Vice President & General Manager

As vice president and general manager, Mark is responsible for leading EdAssist in transforming tuition assistance programs for Fortune 1000 companies nationwide. He has more than 20 years of demonstrated experience focusing on adult learners to strategically deliver on organizational goals.

A thought leader in the tuition assistance management industry, Mark is a regular contributor to the Bright Horizons® Solutions at Work blog and has presented at numerous corporate and higher education conferences on topics related to tuition assistance management, employee retention and mobility, learning and development, higher education, and leadership.

Before joining EdAssist, Mark served for more than 18 years as senior vice president for Kaplan Test Preparation, the education subsidiary of the Washington Post Company. In addition to his education-related experience, he was also a captain in the U.S. Army, taught oral advocacy and legal writing as a faculty member at Vermont Law School, and clerked for a federal judge at the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Christopher Duchesne
Vice President, Client Services and Marketing

Chris oversees business development at EdAssist and has been working with HR leaders for more than 18 years, focused on leveraging technology to reduce costs and execute talent management strategies that drive business results. Chris and his client services team work consultatively with new clients to help design and implement programs that attract talent, retain staff, close skills gaps, help hospitals achieve and maintain Magnet® designation, and drive employee engagement and loyalty.

Prior to joining EdAssist, Chris served as VP of Global Workplace Solutions for, where he oversaw the suite of services offered to institutional and corporate clients, their employees, and their families. Under his leadership, the program grew from inception to serve 150 organizations and more than 600,000 employees.

Previously, Chris served as the Director of Enterprise Sales at Workscape (acquired by ADP), a talent management solution and outsourced benefits administration provider. Previously, Chris held various leadership positions at Accenture where he successfully managed numerous solution development and implementation projects for Fortune 500 and global organizations across a broad range of industries.

Chris is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Jay Titus
Senior Director, Enterprise Solutions

Jay brings more than a decade of experience in higher education administration to EdAssist. In his role as senior director of academic services, Jay provides leadership to the team of advisors that works with employees of corporate partners to fulfill their educational and career objectives. Prior to joining EdAssist, Jay oversaw all admissions, student outreach, and enrollment operations at Mount Ida College as the assistant vice president of enrollment management and the dean of admissions. In addition, he has held the positions of dean of admissions at Stonehill College, associate director of institutional research at Mount Ida and project manager for client services at Information Resources Inc. He has also taught numerous courses in business, management, and marketing as an adjunct professor. A native of Boston, Jay attended Bryant University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, and Lasell College, where he earned a Master of Science in management.

Kelly Russell
Senior Director, Client Relations

Kelly oversees the client relations team at EdAssist, and brings more than two decades of experience in the HR space to the role. She began her career as an HR generalist and HR program manager at IDG before switching her focus to business development and strategic account management for technology solutions and services to the HR community. In her current role, Kelly leads the team responsible for the ongoing success and satisfaction of EdAssist clients.

Prior to joining EdAssist, Kelly was VP of Account Management & Development for Workplace Solutions at, where she managed relationships and revenue for more than 150 organizations and helped deliver services to more than 600,000 employees.

Previously, Kelly served as head of business development for Sentient Flight Group, Hewlett-Packard's Advanced Solutions Lab, and as one of the founding team members at

Kelly is a graduate of Saint Michael’s College.

Jamie Fredette
Senior Director, IT/Professional Services

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of EdAssist’s IT and professional services team, Jamie is responsible for the effective delivery and implementation of the EdAssist tuition assistance management software solution. His team of 20 not only manages all phases of new client implementations but also spearheads the development of new software and technical improvements. 

Jamie was one of the first employees to join EdAssist, bringing with him more than 20 years of software and talent management solutions experience. His experience prior to EdAssist includes serving as director of customer care at Softscape Inc., where he built a team that supported more than 100 clients in the HR talent management space, and serving as manager of the application services team at Authoria Inc., where he helped build an implementation team to support clients with performance and compensation planning. 

Jamie has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Bentley College, where he also minored in computer information systems.

Tracy Beard
Senior Director, Employee Services

Under Tracy’s leadership, the employee services team works closely with our clients to  provide best-in-class customer service to all employees, and ensure a successful tuition or student loan program experience. This includes personalized advising for employee participants, program administration and compliance, and payment solutions.

Prior to joining EdAssist in 2011, Tracy spent 10 years as controller for Bright Horizons’ College Coach division, the nation’s leading provider of educational advising, offering expert guidance from the best college admissions consultants on the college admissions and finance process. 

Tracy earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Pittsburgh and is a member of the National Association for Female Executives.

Kristin Simonini
Senior Director, Product Development

As Senior Director of Product Management, Kristin Simonini is responsible for the strategic roadmap of the EdAssist product offerings. She is a seasoned product leader experienced with bringing products to market and building solutions that meet the critical business needs of our customers.

Kristin brings over fifteen years of experience setting the vision for, and managing the ongoing enhancements to, enterprise applications. She joined EdAssist from Brainshark, where she was responsible for their leading sales enablement solutions.  Prior to Brainshark she held product roles at Deploy Solutions, StreamServe, and Webhire, Inc. She holds a BS from Northeastern University.

Georgio Bantos
Senior Executive Director, Healthcare

Georgio Bantos is a certificate holder in “Fundamentals of Magnet” by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and has a deep understanding of the application process, requirements, and scope of work to achieve Magnet Designation.

In his current role as the senior executive director, Healthcare for EdAssist, Georgio oversees EdAssist’s healthcare division in North America.    

An industry thought leader, Georgio has presented at and attended numerous healthcare executive leadership conferences on topics related to healthcare human resources, millennial engagement strategies, workforce planning, talent management, tuition assistance management, and higher education. He is also a regular contributor to the Bright Horizons® Solutions at Work blog.

Georgio is deeply passionate about partnering with CHROs and VPs of Talent Management to share healthcare trends, challenges, and best practices to attract talent, retain millennials, close skills gaps, and drive employee engagement. He also brings direct experience helping hospitals with the application process to achieve and maintain Magnet® designation.
